March Wrap-up

I think I should start writing monthly and just do a wrap up of the month...since that is pretty much what I'm doing already.

First, Carey and Kendall both got there 9 week report cards this month and both did great. Carey found out she was ranked 4th in her class with a avg. of 100.8. We are very proud of her. And every nine weeks the Kindergarten teachers have a conference with the parents. Kendall's teacher told me Kendall was ready for 1st grade. She is reading and adding, and doing so much more than I think I ever did in Kinder. They can even count to 100 by 10's, 5's, and 2's.

We also went on our 1st camping trip of the year in Bastrop. We had a great time. It was so pretty. We went hiking, bike riding (Kendall learned to ride WITHOUT training wheels while we were there), roasted hamburgers and hot dogs, and took a drive through the piney woods. It was a nice relaxing weekend.

This past weekend Rick decided to jump out of plane. Crazy, I know. But now I want to do it. At least, I think I do. Well see!!! Anyway, he said it was awesome and loved it so much he signed up for another jump.

We also took pictures of the kids in Papaws bluebonnets. I had seen pictures that a photographer took of families on a couch out in the middle of a field so we decided to try it. They came out OK for non-professionals.
Anyway...thats been our month of March. Now its on the April and Easter!!

Rick & I at Dave Ramsey

This post is about our happenings this past weekend even though it is already Thursday. I like to say that I just been too busy to write lately but the truth is I have not been motivated to write and maybe a little lazy. Anyway, we had a busy weekend. On Saturday Rick and I went to see Dave Ramsey Live and The Total Money Makeover. To tell the truth, I could not see how sitting in a colliseum for 5 hours listening to someone talk about things that we pretty much already do, be fun. But Rick listens to him on the radio and got us tickets. But I was so surprised on how entertained I was. It didn't seem like 5 hours at all. I would even say it was kinda fun.

On another note...Jett loves Spiderman so for his birthday we got him a Spiderman suit. I think I put in on him about 10 times a day. He is so funny that now I think he believes he is Spiderman. He will fly (jump) off of things and if it doesn't go like he wanted he says "me don't have no powers anymore". I have to really watch him so that he doesn't " fly" off anything that is too high. Boys are soooo different than girls.
And on Sunday we went to my parents house to celebrate my Dad's 77th birthday. We had a good time and it is sooo good to see my dad doing so much better.
