Update on Jett

First of all, Jett is doing much better now. But his upper lip got pretty ugly there for awhile. On Monday morning I took him to the dentist to have him check out his tooth. After xrays and $100 I don't know any more than I did before I went. He told me that he may or may not lose the tooth, it may or may not turn gray, and he may or may not have damaged the permanent tooth. URH!!! I'm not saying the dentist doesn't know what he is talking about but I am the type of person that likes answers. I'm supposed to take him back in 10 days but we will see. Not sure I want to spend another $100 to find nothing out. Also, the swelling in his lip had only gotten worse from Saturday. I mentioned this to the dentist and he told me that if it wasn't better in a couple of days to bring him back for an antibiotic. Jett was not acting like he felt good all day and had started running a fever and his little lip was so swollen. I went to try to clean it up with water and hydrogen perioxide and it was so disgusting in there. His little lip was bloody and had puss draining. So I decided to take him to the ER. We got there about 8:30pm and the waiting area was full. After about 3 1/2 hours the dr. said he had a bad infection and couldn't believe the dentist didn't give him an antibiotic that am. Anyway, they gave him a dose of antibiotic before we left and an RX for the next 10 days. We got home about 2 am but I was very glad we went. He was noticibly better by morning and has gotten better everyday since.

I'm glad Jett is doing better..maybe by the time Ricky gets home he will be back to his old self, of course just seeing his dad will make him better. Take care of the little guy.

Save the 100 bucks and don't go back to the dentist. They can't tell you anything cuz they don't know! Both of the boys have had major damage to their mouth, gums, and teeth. Neither of them have had any lasting damage to their adult teeth. Dentist told us the same thing with Grayson. May turn grey, may not. May fall out, may not. They don't know! One of the boys teeth turned a light shade of grey the other's didn't. They both lost their baby teeth on schedule and got their adult teeth on time. Save the money and make Ricky take you out on a well deserved night on the town!
